Nobu – First Outpost in Africa

With the opening of his Nobu at One&Only Cape Town, world-class master chef Nobuyuki 'Nobu' Matsuhisa expands his eponymous empire with the debut of his first restaurant in Africa.

No stranger to worldly culinary influences, Nobu gives classical Japanese cuisine a contemporary twist. Diners can indulge in fresh South African seafood and indigenous spices in mesmerising dishes such as Yellowtail Sashimi with Jalapeno or the Suntory Whisky Cappuccino.

Nobu Lounge, on the restaurant's upper level, features a selection of Sakes including plum wines, Japanese beer and a creative selection of Sake and Shochu-based cocktails.

Wine&Dine Evenings – Hosted at Nobu at One&Only Cape Town

Nobu Cape Town announces an exclusive programme of exquisite dining events for 2014.

Every alternate month, the restaurant will feature a fine Cap Classique producer and their sparkling wines, pairing them in an evening of fabulous bubbles and flavours in the Nobu Lounge. In the months in-between, some of the country’s most iconic wineries and winemakers will be conducting ‘Vertical Masterclasses’ going back over several years, each wine paired with the very finest cuisine Nobu restaurant has to offer.

Assisting in the pairing and service of both events will be Nobu’s wine steward, Tinashe Nyamudoka. Hosted by charismatic MC and One&Only Cape Town’s brand ambassador Aubrey Ngcungama, Head Sushi Chef Keke Itoh and Head Chef Dil Tamang will combine to offer evenings of exceptional quality, flavours and flair.

MCC Evenings are priced at R495 per person and Vertical Masterclasses are R450 per person

Nobu Lite



A recent addition to Nobu Cape Town’s dining experience is the Nobu Lite Menu which includes delicious platters, suitable for up to four guests. These platter options are available daily in Nobu Lounge from 6pm to 8pm. Specials on cocktails and some signature Nobu items will also be available.
