One&Only Cape Town is thrilled to be home to Reuben Riffel's first urban restaurant, showcasing a menu that is deceptively simple with its wholesome bistro fare, fresh flavours, generous portions and beautifully plated dishes. Reuben's has a sophisticated, yet relaxed, brasserie ambience and the food provides the exciting combination of local flavours that one would expect from one of South Africa's most loved chefs, Reuben Riffel.
Riffel rose to fame when his first restaurant, Reuben's, opened to much acclaim in the historical town of Franschhoek in 2004. It has since won the coveted Eat Out 'Restaurant of the Year' and 'Chef of the Year' awards.
Reuben's appeals to the culinary side of the soul and will be enjoyed by both young and old alike.

Wine&Dine Evenings – Hosted at Reuben’s at One&Only Cape Town:
Once again chef Reuben Riffel and his team at his restaurant at the Resort have invited some of South Africa’s finest wine estates and winemakers to join them for a series of monthly gourmet extravaganzas throughout the year. A plethora of 5 Star-rated wine farms, including some of the best-known names in the business, will be joining sommelier Luvo Ntezo and Reuben as they taste, sip and savour the perfect food and wine-matches ready for their guests to enjoy. The results of their endeavours will then be served as a deluxe 5-course dinner to lucky diners at a regular event on the last Tuesday of the month. Hosted by charismatic MC and One&Only Cape Town’s brand ambassador, Aubrey Ngcungama, guests can expect superb food, wine and entertainment throughout the evening.

Reuben's Tasting Table
The Reuben's Tasting Table, located on a mezzanine platform overlooking the main restaurant, is available for private dining for a maximum of 12 guests and is ideal for any special occasion such as birthday celebrations, business luncheons or family gatherings. Personalised menu options can be designed to suit any occasion from Tasting Menu's, Wine Pairing Menus, Set Menu’s or a’ la Carte.

Keeping things simple and letting the food and service do the talking is what you can expect to find at Reuben’s Franschhoek, Reuben Riffel’s first restaurant.
Like the cuisine, the restaurant exhibits a homely yet sophisticated atmosphere where guests can enjoy their meals in an unhurried setting. Apart from the eclectic, regularly updated menu that lists a good number of Reuben’s favourites, specials of the day are scribbled on three large chalk boards against the wall. Like all of the meals, these specials are created to take advantage of the freshest ingredients as they become available and dishes are created on the inspiration of Chef Reuben Riffel.
