Chef De Partie, Pastry, Nobu

One&Only Cape Town is looking for Chef de Partie for pastry to join the successful world renowned Nobu Culinary team.

Duties (not limited to):

• Coordinating and supervising the running of the dessert and pastry section with the objective of giving full assistance in the running of the entire kitchen department.
• Responsible for relieving departmental chefs and carrying out their duties in order that superior and imaginative meal are produced to the satisfaction of the Executive Chef.
• Ensuring the proper handling and storage of all ingredients and utensils.
• Ensuring high levels of cleanliness in the pastry section according to One&Only standards and health regulations.
• Ensuring safe working condition in working area and ensures that all equipment is handled properly and used for the purpose for which it is intended.
• Ensuring a minimum loss through wastage or theft.

Education/ Experience/ Competencies:

• Matric or equivalent.
• Culinary qualification from a recognised institute.
• 1 - 3 years in a related field.
• Hotel management degree/diploma is an advantage.
