Demi-Sushi Chef - Nobu

One&Only Cape Town is looking for a Demi Sushi Chef de Partie to join the successful world renowned Nobu Culinary team.

Education/ Experience/ Competencies:

• Matric
• Formal Diploma or certificate in Professional cookery / culinary arts needed; specialization in Sushi preparation.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Minimum 5 years in a related field in a five star environment.

Main Purpose of the Job:

• Preparation of Sushi and related dishes.
• This position requires a technically focused, task orientated person who can work at high pace with great attention to detail, who is highly creative with a passion for food in order to assist with the day-to-day running of a kitchen section.
• Work within the health & safety requirements, maintaining strict hygiene standards.
• The successful candidate should have an exceptional eye for detail and work well within a team operation and maintain an orderly work area.
• An ability to deal with stress, goal orientated & highly disciplined.
• Personal hygiene is also important.
